After peddling the notion that Raila Odinga conspired with ICC in taking to the Hague,Ruto made a flip into the story pointing fingers at the then PNU and now TNA officials as the role players who worked beneath books to mold crimes against him.
In a shocking turn of events Ruto’s counsel Shyamala Alagendra linked
Interior Principal Secretary Mutea Iringo, Senior Political Adviser to President Uhuru Nancy Gitau and former Justice minister Martha Karua to the scheme to nail Ruto.
In President Kibaki’s Government, Ms Gitau served as Director of Political Affairs in the Office of the President while Iringo was Deputy
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Internal Security.
Currently they serve under Uhuru Kenyatta's government; Interior PS Iringo, presidential adviser Nancy Gitau.
Martha Karua who is not holding any government position right now after parting ways with the PNU affiliates earlier in the Kibaki regime and whose name was mentioned as one of the conspirators in faking charges for Uhuru has informally responded to the claims.
She admits to being busy and that she didn't listen to the debated testimony,however she retaliates that she is neither bothered with the accusations saying Ruto and Kenyatta are drowning and simply trying to hold on unto anything.
" let the accused face their accuser and stop holding on straw like the drowning ! a person who is drowning holds on to anything including a straw!" Says Karua
If the new developments has anything to go by then it emerges that Ruto knew the truth all along even though he went ahead peddling the "Raila's conspiracy"
Could such revelations be the reason as to why Ruto is determined to push on. More could be coming including Kenyatta's case could be having it's own set of shocking revelations.
