Few Weeks back the twitter and Facebook streets were flourished with
drama after Douglas Mango who insists he is a high court judge and an
ODM shooter,laid a cyber attack on diplomat Yvonne Khamati where he made serious accusations on the lady.
The diplomat could then head to the Kilimani cyber crime unit to
report the case. After considerations,Mango was summoned to appear
before the cid but he instead opted to ignore and went into hiding.
The police laid a trap and has henceforth been trailing the advocate
until yesterday when he was tracked to a drinking facility in the city
and he was arrested spending the cold night at the Kilimani police
station.
This morning he was arraigned in Kibera law courts,among the 10
charges are libel, slander and spreading malicious rumours to all of
which he denied the charges labelled against him.
In his defence,Mango put all the blames on controversial blogger
Robert Alai and government's blogger Denis Oleitumbi for hacking his
twitter account and laying abusive attack on the diplomat. He also says
how much he respects the lady and applauds the much she has done for the
republic.
Alai on the other hand has reacted saying he won't give any attention
to him giving a flashback on how he pleaded with Mango to stop the
attack but instead continued. He says he is on his own and won't give
him a string to hang on.
Oleitumbi also has given his reaction and opts not to press charges
but instead will now file a defence statement in favour of Yvonne
Khamati. The clouds got thicker and Mango headed to the drowning end.
After chest thumping on the internet,he appeared shaken today with I
wish I didn't written all over his face.
Will he manage to go past this? Time will tell.
