Many of you (unless you were born in the early 90s) will remember the Kenyan movie block-buster, Rise and Fall of Idi Amin, also known as Amin: The Rise and Fall.
Anyhow, not many people know what became of Joseph Olita, the Kenyan actor who portrayed Idi Amin in the film. Apart from the fact that Olita, in his prime, stood 6 feet 5 1⁄2 inches (196.9 cm) and weighed 320 pounds (150 kg) which resulted in his resemblance to Idi Amin Dada, most people don’t know what fate befell the actor.
Well, the old man today hangs around Buru Buru Shopping Center (at the Uchumi Car Park) hawking pirated DVDs of the same movie he premiered in to make ends meet. According to @Miro, it’s not that he's a good salesman, but he manages a sizeable sale on a daily basis simply out of sympathy from his clients
