AT LEAST 120 protesters are said to have died as security forces shot to kill in Egypt yesterday.
Four thousand more in Cairo were hurt with bullets, bird shot and tear gas as they called for leader Mohamed Morsi’s release.
“They are not shooting to wound, they are shooting to kill. Bullet wounds are in the head and chest,” said Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad.
Egypt’s Health Ministry disputed the Brotherhood’s toll, saying 65 had died in the biggest bloodbath since Mr Morsi fell on July 3.
Foreign Secretary William Hague called on the army to “cease the use of violence against protesters, including live fire”.
